The story of the musical runs parallel with the Wizard of Oz, with a lot of the same characters.  Only when we meet them this time, we learn more about their back story and why the wicked witch ultimately does what she does.  The lines between good and bad are a little blurry, and you will walk away with a new perspective and a lot of catchy tunes in your head.

Comm345's Blog

I want to talk to you about an amazing art project that I find very interesting!

This is the Inside Out Project by the french photographer JR.

He started this project in 2011, and he travel all around the world to make people participate. I have myself participated two times: one time in Paris in 2011, and then in New York two weeks ago (in Times Square).

The idea of this project is to set up a huge photography machine in a big city and to let people take one picture of them. They can do what they want to do, they are totally free. Then, the HUGE picture is printed (almost 1meter) and is paste somewhere in the city. Look at what it looked last week in Times Square:

NYC 2 WAY Limousine’s to Rockefeller Center

NYC 2WAY service to Rockefeller CenterAlongside Hollywood, New York City stands as the headquarters for the entertainment industry. Perhaps no other New York City location houses more pillars of the entertainment industry than Rockefeller Center. Home to the NBC studios and Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center is a hot spot of tourist activity. NYC 2WAY ensures that no desiring tourist misses out on this attraction, offering affordable and luxurious transportation services to this attraction located in the theater district of midtown.

The Rockefeller Center is named after the famous Rockefeller family that funded its construction. Amassing over 19 buildings, the Rockefeller Center offers tourist a spectacle of architecture. The Rockefeller Center broke ground in 1930. The majority of the buildings constructed in the Rockefeller center were fortunate to be adorned with the deco art that was popular in the early 20th century. Along with its aesthetic architecture, the grounds of the Rockefeller Center were styled with public art pieces. Craftily fitted into the landscape are numerous sculptures. The most notable sculptures were contributed by famous artist Lee Lawrie. Lee Lawrie’s crowning art piece is a sculpture of Atlas that has garnished international appreciation.

The Rockefeller Center is perhaps the most festive location in New York City during the Christmas season. It is home of the famous Rockefeller

skating rink that is open to the public during the winter time.

The Rockefeller Center is home to many iconic buildings, including the Radio City Music Hall. However, the center piece of the Rockefeller Center is the RCA building. Located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the RCA building has affectionately become known as 30 Rock. 30 Rock soars into the skyline towering with over 70 stories. This magnificent building sparked the nation’s curiosity with one of the most iconic photographs of the 20th century. The black and white photo titled “Lunchtime Atop a Sky Scraper” shows numerous construction workers leisurely sitting atop a beam eating their lunches, without safety harnesses, a thousand feet above the city.

Today, visitors can look out at New York City at the same height as those construction workers, albeit in a much safer way via the observation deck. NBC Studios offers a tour that takes visitors up to the observation deck, known as the “top of the rock.” There onlookers can enjoy 360 degree views of the city. Such a view remains unrivaled in all of New York. For those interested in music, film, television, or the arts, Rockefeller Center is a must see attractions NYC 2WAY provides service to.
